About

As part of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA, Asian American Ministries’ vision is to help InterVarsity honor and reach all Asian American communities on campus with the gospel by developing, discipling, and empowering distinctly Asian American Christian leaders – students, faculty, staff, and volunteers. This helps InterVarsity reach unseen and underreached corners of the campus as we long for revival. AAM has general Asian American ministry as well as specific ministries for Pilipino (PAIV), South Asian (SAIV), and Southeast Asian (SEAM) communities. Yes, God is doing amazing things in Asian American students and communities on the college campus and beyond.

Encompassing over 21 distinct ethnic groups, Asian Americans are a critical and strategic demographic on college campuses. Asian American university enrollment has exploded over the last 30 years, making Asian Americans the fastest growing racial demographic on U.S. colleges and universities. And yet, Asian Americans remain the most unreached racial group, with just 42% identifying as Christian. The harvest is plentiful indeed! And we pray for more workers to be sent out.

Perhaps God is calling you to be that worker we have been praying for. Maybe you’ve been looking for opportunities to pray, serve, or give towards the ministry. Or perhaps you’re a church leader looking for resources to equip your local congregation. You might even be a student looking for Asian American Christian community at your college campus. Whatever the case may be, whatever reason you have for visiting us, we are glad you are here! Welcome!

Feel free to check out some of our resources, developed and curated out of years of fruitful ministry to Asian American students from experts in the field. Or get connected with one of our local chapters, across the United States. Or get in touch with us to help start a new small group or ministry at a campus that does not have one. However God might be calling you, we can help.

And, as always, we’d love to connect with you on a personal level. If you have any questions or just want to get in touch with our department, email us at aam@intervarsity.org.
